Winter National Swimming Championships

At the Winter National Swimming Championships, our swimmers achieved significant success, winning multiple trophies and setting new national records in both individual and relay events.

Individual Awards:

Sara Janković was named the best swimmer in the Senior (Open) and Junior categories.

Leonel Iliev was named the best swimmer in the Cadet category.

Irina Trifunoska was named the best swimmer in the Younger Pioneers category.

Aleksandar Peshevski was named the best swimmer in the Younger Pioneers category.

New National Records – Relays:

4×50 m Freestyle Relay – Women’s Senior Category, team members: Katja Tanaskoska, Sara Janković, Anastasija Kiranđić, and Tamara Trifunoska.

4×50 m Freestyle Relay – Women’s Younger Pioneers Category, team members: Irina Trifunoska, Katja Kalachoska, Bisera Gosheva, and Darija Rafeska, setting a new national record with a time of 2:10.68.

4×50 m Freestyle Relay – Men’s Junior Category, team members: Darijan Andreev, Dimitar Boshnakov, Vedran Andreev, and Leonel Iliev.

Individual National Records:

Darijan Andreev set a new Junior National Record in the 50 m Butterfly event with a time of 24.95, improving his own previous record.

Aleksandar Peshevski set a new National Record in the Younger Pioneers category.

ANDREJ STOJANOSKI & COACH METODIJA ANGELESKI

From November 20 to 25, Andrej Stojanoski, together with his coach Metodija Angeleski, were part of Macedonia’s Olympic Team, proudly representing the country at the 25th Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan. Andrej competed in five events, with his most notable result in the 400m Individual Medley, where he qualified for the final and achieved the 6th fastest time overall, setting a new personal best of 4:48.60. In the 200m Breaststroke and 100m Breaststroke, Andrej reached the final and finished 7th overall, while in the 100m Breaststroke he also recorded a new personal best of 1:07.91. In the 50m Breaststroke, Andrej with another new personal best of 31.42, and he completed the 200m Individual Medley with the 10th fastest time overall. With his dedication and results, Andrej once again proved he belongs among the world-class athletes on the international stage.
